Had a wander into the town and drooled at the Kath Kidson shop. Bought lots of bits we DID need elsewhere, including some lovely veg. in the market.

We have seen and chatted to Roy and Daphne off nb Drental, who we've been following since Oxford and we are going to move off tomorrow together to share locks for a while. We've had a look at the next one and reckon that it's the Kennet's last try to broadside us before we move onto the canal proper!

The water is far more busy here, and boats have been going past all day, mostly in our direction strangely enough, we just hope that we meet some of them returning in the next few days, as most are hire boats.
